The monthly round-up is a collection of internet goodies that have caught my eye over the past four weeks. Videos, blog posts, beautiful photography, tutorials, excellent websites and geeky goodness: you can find them all here on 1st of the month. Perfect for long commutes and lazy Sunday mornings.

Let’s begin with a post by the ever eloquent and stylish Shauna of Nubby Twiglet. In the blogging world it’s important to remember that your life isn’t a highlight reel, even if everyone else is trying to pretend theirs is. Don’t become a victim to the comparison trap.

Sad, funny and occasionally downright disturbing! Time Out shares 25 of London’s terrible break-up stories.

Sarah of The Prosecco Diaries and I have had many a discussion about meat-eaters helping themselves to the vegetarian option at buffets, and she hit the nail on the head with this brilliant article. The veggie option is not a side dish, people!

This is the reason I’m in love with Japanese culture. After their World Cup team lost in Brazil, Japanese fans stayed behind to help clean the stadium.

The lovely Lynsay of Miss West End Girl goes green, wearing green, in the green! Outfit of the day posts aren’t usually my thing, but this lassie always cooks up something a bit different, and her wonderfully cute smile never ceases to brighten my day!

Brought to my attention by my very astute friend Janine, here are 22 things you should never say to a non-drinker. I’m convinced I’ve heard most of them at one point or another…!

It’s almost definitely a hoax, but this label found in a Primark dress should make us all consider where and who we’re buying our clothes from.

Kat from Rock n’ Roll Bride looks at the differences between being reckless and taking risks, and gives us an insight into her own journey towards making her blog a full-time venture.

I only found this Etsy store yesterday, so it was a very last minute entry to the round-up! I couldn’t resist these wonderful animal patches from Spider Stitches Parlor… especially all the ducks! If you follow me on Facebook you’ll know I ordered the mandarin!

This box-like house is full of surprises on the inside…

You’ll rarely find me linking articles about celebrities here on the monthly round-up, but when they behave as honourably as this they deserve our attention. Thank you to Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield for using their fame to generate awareness of multiple good causes. (And yes, secretly I’m glad they’re a happy couple too.)

Matt Walsh admits that his wife is not the woman he married. An interesting article about how relationships change as we change.

Whatever you’re doing, you need to stop and appreciate how adorable this tiny chihuahua yogi is. I feel like Ché from indieBerries would appreciate his dedication to downward dog!

And talking of Ché, she’s been turning out excellent article after excellent article recently, including this seasonal offering about shop window displays in her neck of the woods Wimbledon, and this Twitter tip I genuinely knew nothing about. Bloggers and Twitterers alike, you really need to make sure you’re not doing this!

Last month I had a go at one of the Indytute’s courses, and what a delight it was! I didn’t give it any coverage here on Little Outdoor Kylie because the subject matter wasn’t particularly outdoorsy, but now I’ve got my eye on this terrarium course that’s taking place on 14th July.

Who’d have thought that spinning in a giant metal ring would be so hypnotic?

Scribble have released a pen that can scan anything and instantly mix its ink to reproduce the shade of the object. I have no idea how much this incredible piece of technology costs, but I’m not going to lie to you, I’d love to give it a go! I’d be scanning everything!

And why not? Let’s finish with 14 pictures of the Queen looking unimpressed by things. The viking one is hands down my favourite!
